Abstract
Murmansk Commercial seaport takes a unique place among the northern ports of Russia due to its climatic conditions and geographical location from one part and from the other part –it is its history and present time, they are full of significant events. Many but not everybody knows that being in North Pole –in latitude 68° 58’ North port of Murmansk unlike the other ports of North-West of Russia, is unfrozen all the year round. Port is located comparatively close to the ports of the Western Europe and it is the gate to the Arctic Sea Way. That’s why Port of Murmansk since its appearance on the map of Russia has taken on and reserves the important strategic significance for the whole country.
