Abstract
The World Summit on Sustainable Development took place in September 2002 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Its main objective was to bring together representatives from governmental and non - governmental organizations, to discuss the direction of sustainable development initiative ten years after the first Conference on Sustainable Development. The website presents the basic information about the World Summit, outlines its main policy issues and present civil society activities in the run up to and during the summit, as well as analysises of the summit outcomes.
