Abstract
Nowhere is national and international interest in the Arctic more apparent than in the rapid environmental changes that are being observed throughout the Arctic System and their regional and global connections and consequences. The objective of the SAON is to create a long-term Arctic-wide observing activities network that provides free, open and timely access to high quality data.
