Abstract
RAIPON and its members devote themselves to creating a community where people of the northern Russia can meet and exchange their experiences. RAIPON is a Permanent Participant of the Arctic Council, an international body of eight Arctic states whose programmes and working groups address environmental monitoring and assessment, preservation of biodiversity, protection against ecological disasters, and sustainable development in the Arctic. en
