Abstract

The report presents Chinese official Arctic policy, including China´s environmental research in the Arctic, energy and shipping prospects, territorial and strategic developments of concern to China. The report has been prepared and reviewed by the U.S - China Economic and Security Staff Commission under the supervision of Caitlin Campbell, USCC Policy Analyst from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Energy.
